Creative Ways to Get Your Pet to Swallow a Pill
Have you ever had to give your dog or cat a pill? Not an easy task, is it? Generally, it is thought the best way to give an animal a pill is to hide it in food. This is easily accomplished with dogs. Just break off a bite of hot dog and put the pill in it. Dogs will gobble it right up. If you try that method with a cat, they will probably sit and stare at you like you are crazy. It takes some inventiveness to get a pill into a cat. The best method I found is to put the pill in peanut butter and let the cat have a big lick of it. The peanut butter will stick to the roof of the cat’s mouth and eventually it will swallow the pill with the peanut butter.
