The Captain Loomis Inn has an exciting history dating back to pre-Civil War days. The original
structure was a lively stable until Clarion's first hotel, The Forest House, opened on this spot in
August of 1840. John B. Loomis purchased the property in 1845 and brought The Forest House
an excellent reputation for food, drink, and hospitality.
In 1945, the Troese Family became proud owners of the Inn and later, Joseph Troese's son,
Steven, gained sole ownership. With ownership changes came cosmetic changes, too. In
the rear of the restaurant, Mr. T's Night Club was added in 1989, featuring a dance floor,
stage, two bars, six pack shop, and loads of fun.
The restaurant hosts great seafood and Italian cuisine, but don't miss out the Inn's specialty...
Prime Rib! After dinner, your just steps away to meet friends for a complete night at the club
featuring Happy Hour, live DJ's, bands, Karaoke, and Trivia. There is always a drink on special.
